At Dovetail, we specialize in navigating mineral and royalty interest acquisitions with a meticulous yet efficient approach. Our process is designed to ensure a seamless and transparent experience for our clients. Here’s a detailed overview:

Evaluation & Offer

Send us your and our team will evaluate them. You’ll receive an offer within 24 hours.

The evaluation process can be expedited by providing certain property details.

These include but are not limited to the following:

  • Property legal description
  • Interest Type
  • Decimal interest of property
  • Check stub/revenue statement
Agreement

Agreement

Once we agree on the terms for selling your minerals or royalties, we’ll execute a letter

A letter agreement is necessary to sign before beginning the due diligence process because it provides the seller and the buyer with the terms of the Agreement and creates assurances that the terms do not change prior to closing.
Due Diligence

Due Diligence

We’ll conduct and verify the title to confirm your ownership.

During this portion of the process, we will hire a contract landman to conduct research in the county courthouse where your interest is located for the purpose of verifying the title to your property. This typically takes between 15-30 days.
Closing

Closing

Expect a within 15-30 days of the letter agreement.

It is during the closing process when the seller receives their funds and title is transferred to the buyer.

First, the seller will execute an assignment, mineral deed or oil and gas lease (depending on the type of your interest).

Upon execution, seller will send an electronic copy of the deed and we will overnight a check or initiate a same-day bank wire at the sellers choosing.

Once the seller has received funds, they will overnight the original documents in a self-addressed envelope provided by the buyer.

And this will complete the transaction!
